Each box that the Helderberg Heroes Project mails to deployed service men and women includes cards, letters, or pictures from local community members. We need your help creating letters / cards to include. We can provide stationery for you to use, or you may use your own.

Tips for your Cards / Letters

Please DO

Be positive, update, and supportive

Thank them for their service

Be respectful, kind and encouraging

Do share information about yourself (interests, hobbies, etc.)

Use only your first name

If you have a connection with the military, please share it

Please DO NOT

Do not include your last name, email, or mailing address

Do not ask them if they are lonely or missing home

Do not them about the war, if they shot or killed someone, or if they know anyone who was killed

Do not talk about politics or what is going on in the news
